For the winner. Donated by Mr Robin Malcolm in 2005. First awarded by his grandfather in 1926 to Mr Archie McDairmid, before he became Chairman of the Society.

The Sun Alliance 5th Shepherds' Cup 

For the highest pointed dog owned and handled by a hired shepherd.

The Duchess of Devonshire 5th Farmers' Challenge Cup 

For the highest pointed dog owned and handled by a farmer. Donated by Her Grace on the occasion of her International Presidency in 1978.

The Gwyn Jones Rhes-y-cae Memorial Trophy 

For the breeder of the winner.

For the highest pointed handler in the qualifying trial who is competing for the first time at the International. (Aggregate awards are calculated by adding the National and International Qualifying points).

First awarded in 1927 and received by the National President. Calculated by the addition of points from the best 12 dogs in each nation.

The Supreme Championship 3rd Challenge Shield

For the Supreme Champion. The first shield was awarded in 1919. This one, presented by James A Reid, is actually the fourth, being first awarded in 1947. Plus monetary awards of 1st £750; 2nd £400; 3rd £200; 4th £150; 5th £90; 6th £70; 8th to 15th each £30.

The Roberthill Trophy

For the owner of the Sire of the Supreme Champion dog. Donated by the 1976 Lockerbie International Committee.

The McDiarmid Rose Bowl

For the highest pointed dog for which the handler was also the owner of either the sire or dam. No names are inscribed until won outright either 5 times in all or 3 times in succession. Presented by Mr and Mrs McDiarmid.

The Alan Jones Memorial Cup, the 6th Brace Trophy

Specific Trophies

The Rhiwlas Trophy

For the Supreme Champion (perpetual). The Society's oldest trophy, and the first known to be presented at any sheepdog trial. First awarded in 1876 at the Rhiwlas Trials to James Thomson. Given to the ISDS in 1954 by his widow, Jean, when she was 102 years old.

The J B Bagshaw trophy

For the winner of the Driving Dog Competition. Given by W B Bagshaw. Plus monetary award of £25.

For the winner of the Young Handler Competition. Given by Mr D S Morris, solicitor to the Society (perpetual).

For the oldest competing handler at these trials. Given by The Corporation of Edinburgh (perpetual).
