Thank you very much / Diolch yn fawr iawn
"The love of this 'game' of sheep dog trialling really shows itself through the volunteers. From the Judges who have 3 long days of intense concentration, through the unstinting work of the Course Directors, Time Keepers and Commentators to the people 'on the ground', all volunteers..... all doing it for the love of it.
There are the sheep crews, the local committee and the workers and helpers, probably near to 200 when you count them all and without these people there wouldn't be a trial.
There are no professionals putting on this event, only volunteers, so thank you one and all for all your effort, support and hard work.
A week today we will have had some teething problems no doubt but by Sunday everything will be, or should be running like clockwork and a little of the apprehension from Friday will have passed. Come Monday it will be just down to the clearing up of everything, the returning of the land back to Geraint and the reports from this International to be done with a sense of normality returning to households.
We wish good luck to the Volunteers for the English International who are about half way through their arrangements and those in Ireland just about to start theirs.

Information tent
For anyone who has not been to a sheep dog trial before, at the northern end of the grandstands there will be an information tent. There will be posters describing the corse etc and at intervals throughout the day there will be handlers in the tent to explain what is happening out on the trial field and to answer any questions you may have. So come along and find out what it is really about.
Grandstand tickets
Only a few seats left above the first two rows and they are in the outside grandstands. The grandstands will curve slightly so sitting in the outside ones is not so bad. The bottom two rows on every grandstand have been held back and will be available on a first come first served basis on the field from Friday morning. If you want to be sure of a seat in the grandstand get onto the web site and book it now.....don't leave it to chance. Only 3 day seats available on line at £30. On the field £30 for a 3 day seat, then Fri & Sat = £15 per seat per day and Sunday = £18 per seat.
Catering / Arlwyo
If you can't get anywhere to eat locally at the end of each day, you can have your evening meal before going back to your tent or caravan and crashing out after a day watching top class trialling and much more. Bwyd Bethan will be serving meals until approximately 9pm (21.00) each night according to demand. Breakfasts will start 07.00, possibly earlier, so when you arrive make your way over to the catering tent and see what's cooking!
There will be meals such as roast pork, roast beef or roast lamb dinners / lasagne / salads etc. plenty to choose from!
There will also be specialised coffee from Event Eateries and genuine local Welsh lamb burgers from Idris Cig Oen Maethlon available all day on the field and don't forget the ice cream for afters.
Entertainment / Adloniant
Saturday's Trialling will be followed by a Tug of War at 6pm (18.00), with a number of Young Farmers clubs competing. The winners will pull against a team from the Sheep dog world...so come on, get your anchor man ready!
This will then move on to a night of Country and Western mixed with some 60s - 80s music, so stay a while, eat a pile and dance a lot (I know it doesn't rhyme!).
